La principessa di Edenia di 10.000 anni è cresciuta con la convinzione di essere la figlia biologica di Shao Khan e l’ha servito come una dei suoi combattenti più letali. Quando ha scoperto la verità, ha lottato contro il tentativo di Shao Khan di conquistare Earthrealm, perdendo anche la vita in questa battaglia. Dopo essere stata resuscitata come una versione malvagia revenant di sè, Kitana ora regna sul Netherrealm insieme al revenant Liu Kang, dedicandosi alla distruzione di tutti i reami.
