In questi mesi, sono state introdotte svariate auto di case giapponesi su Driveclub grazie ai DLC, ma nonostante questo la maggior parte delle auto nel gioco sono di case europee. Interrogato sulla cosa da un utente di Twitter, il director del gioco, Paul Rustchynsky, svela che gli piacerebbe inserire nuove auto come le Mazda e la Lexus LFA.
Rustchynsky però spiega che ottenere la licenza per una determinata auto è un processo che può richiedere molto tempo:
